About Us

Hi, I’m Anna!

A Slice of My Life Kitchen is where I share recipes that actually work on a busy day: approachable ingredients, clear timing, and simple “what to look for” cues so you don’t have to guess. I’m the primary recipe developer and editor here — which means I’m usually testing, rewriting, and re-testing until the steps are easy to follow and the results are consistent.

Most of what you’ll find here fits real life: weeknight dinners, warm soups, and reliable bakes. If a recipe can’t be made in a normal home kitchen (without extra equipment or extra stress), it doesn’t go on the site.

I Love Food!

This site is built around one goal: recipes you’ll want to make again. I’m always aiming for the sweet spot between simple and genuinely delicious — the kind of dinner you can pull off on a Tuesday, but still feel proud to serve.

You’ll see plenty of weeknight dinners, soups, and easy baking projects, plus the small details that make a difference: doneness cues, smart shortcuts, and troubleshooting notes for when your ingredients (or your energy) don’t match the plan.

Our Team

We’re a small, detail-focused crew who cares about two things: clear instructions and dependable results. You’ll see it in the step-by-step flow, the timing notes, and the troubleshooting that helps dinner go smoothly.

Anna

Founder & Recipe Creator

I develop most of the recipes you see here and I’m the person who will re-write a step until it’s simple and specific. I focus on practical recipes with strong flavor — and I always include the little cues that prevent mistakes (what your sauce should look like before you add the cheese, how to tell when a bake is done, and what to do if your oven runs hot). My goal is for you to feel confident mid-recipe, not just at the end.

Her style is flexible and realistic: smart shortcuts, clear swap options, and “use what you have” notes that still keep the flavor on point. Jasmine contributes across our recipe sites, and her posts here focus on weeknight dinners, quick sides, and simple desserts that don’t create a sink full of dishes.

Nora is all about comfort food with clear steps and forgiving timing. She’s especially good at explaining the “why” behind a step — what it’s doing for flavor or texture — and what to watch for if something looks off. Expect soups, casseroles, easy pastas, and family-style dinners that are straightforward and satisfying.

Editor & Pinterest Lead

Ella is our clarity-keeper — she makes sure recipes read cleanly, flow logically, and answer the questions you’ll have while cooking. She’s the reason you’ll see helpful cues like “simmer until glossy,” “it should coat the back of a spoon,” or “the edges will look set but the center will still jiggle.” She also checks the details: ingredient names match the steps, pan sizes are clear, and timing notes reflect real home kitchens.

Beyond editing, Ella runs our Pinterest planning: seasonal schedules, board organization, refreshing older posts with new pins, and testing different pin styles so we learn what readers actually want to cook next.
